the Pope has not uttered a heresy because his principle of universal salvation is in direct contradiction to the dogma which states, "outside the Church there is no salvation." However Fr. Martin does point out that the position that one can be a member of the Church without the Sacrament of Baptism is utterly wrong. Part 3. The Essence of Catholicism Fr. Martin gives wonderful advice to those who have already experienced a void in their parish and have had to look elsewhere for Catholic spiritual direction. He gives suggestions for Catholics who must become more self-reliant in the coming years when it becomes more difficult to practice the faith in a thoroughly paganized world.
